Description
Slopes with well-drained stony soil in Namaqualand Shale Shrubland.
Threats
The population occurs near an abandoned limestone mine, but with increasing mining pressure across South Africa, resuming of mining activities and mining expansion is a potential threat. It is also potentially threatened by habitat degradation due to overgrazing and trampling. Much of the area around Steinkopf is overstocked with livestock.
