Assessment Date

Justification
It has a highly restricted range (EOO 1850 km²), and is confined to the exact habitat where Rooibos tea grows well. The Rooibos tea industry is currently expanding rapidly and ploughing of new lands is predicted to continue at least for the next 20 years. Known from four locations, but recent Rooibos cultivation has heavily impacted the Sandkraal type locality. There has been a minimum of 20% habitat loss in the past 10 years and we suspect that a further 30% of habitat will be lost in the next 20 years (generation length is estimated to be 25 years).
