Justification
Cassine peragua subsp. barbara is widespread, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 26 895 km². It is still relatively common, in spite of ongoing habitat loss and degradation across its range. It is declining, but not yet in danger of extinction. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

Description
It grows in coastal dune fynbos.
Threats
Cassine peragua subsp. barbara is threatened by ongoing habitat loss to urban expansion and coastal development around Langebaan, the Cape Peninsula, between Gordon's Bay and Arniston. It is also threatened by competition from unmanaged alien invasive plants between Hermanus and Stilbaai.
Population

It is common in coastal dune fynbos. It is declining due to ongoing habitat loss and degradation across its range.
