Justification
Four subpopulations are known, but there is likely to be more, as this species occurs in very remote areas. According to the herbarium records plants are localized and occur in small subpopulations. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare.

This species is found in Witputs, southern Namibia to Steinkopf and O'Kiep in northern Namaqualand, South Africa.

Description
Plants grow in rocky places with clay soils in arid succulent shrubland.
