Range | This species is endemic to South Africa, and occurs from the Nuweveld Mountains north of Beaufort West in the Western Cape eastwards to the high mountains of the Eastern Cape interior as far as the Stormberg near Molteno and the Boschberg at Somerset East. |

Description | It forms large clumps in sheltered areas on rock outcrops or among large shrubs on grassy slopes. |
Threats |
Geranium harveyi has no severe threats. Recent field surveys of the Sneeuberg Mountain Complex (Clark et al. 2009) indicate that grasslands on upper mountain slopes are in good condition and not severely impacted by overgrazing. |
