Threats
This taxon is threatened by ongoing habitat loss to coastal and industrial development, as well as urban expansion. Some of its habitat is invaded by spreading, unmanaged alien invasive plants, which are likely to outcompete native species.
Population

This taxon is a range-restricted habitat specialist, and is known from only a few records. It is likely to be locally extinct in the southern part of its range due to habitat loss to urban expansion. It is possibly under-sampled further north along the West Coast, and more field surveys are needed to gain a better understanding of the population size and structure. It is known from five disjunct locations, but it is likely that more exist, as there is available suitable habitat in intervening areas.
