Justification
Apodolirion bolusii is known from the type specimen, collected in the Graaff-Reinet area in 1868 and not recorded since. This species is likely to be extremely rare, it is not known whether or not it is declining, therefore it is listed as Data Deficient.

Description
It occupies karroid shrubland or subtropical thicket on shale-derived soils.
Threats
Apodolirion bolusii likely has no current threats. It was historically collected from the Valley of Desolation which now falls within the boundaries of the Camdeboo National Park.
