A range-restricted species, known from three locations. Potentially threatened by crop cultivation, and overgrazing and trampling by livestock.

Description
Mixture of Kamiesberg Mountains Shrubland and Namaqualand Blomveld, on elevated sandy plains at the bases of large granite domes, 1035 m.
Threats
Heavy grazing by domestic animals. Overgrazing and subsequent erosion may endanger this species. One subpopulation is in a heavily overgrazed area near a farm house and the area could possibly be ploughed.
