Flat, often-rocky plains in loamy or clay soils, WM, TS, CCR
Threats
Threatened by habitat loss to expanding rooibos tea cultivation on the Bokkeveld Plateau, but this area represents only a small part of this widespread species' range, and is not suspected to cause significant population decline or the extinction of this species.
Population

Gethyllis campanulata was formerly thought to be very rare, but many new subpopulations have been recently discovered, indicating that it was merely overlooked in the past.
