Recorded from eight subpopulations, occurs as isolated individuals that are widely scattered within the correct habitat. This subspecies is not threatened.

Description
Succulent Karoo shrubland and West Coast strandveld, in deep, windblown, red coastal sands.
Threats
Slight potential threat from mining. Some populations may be impacted by mining activities- none yet recorded.
Population

Rare. At least eight known subpopulations. Bulbs are relatively scarce and widely scattered.
