Notes
Cyrtanthus junodii was described in 1907 from bulbs obtained from the Reverend H.A. Junod from the Swiss mission station at Shiluvane in the Wolkberg (Reid and Dyer 1984), and presumably collected in this area, however no voucher specimens were deposited. Plants matching the description of C. junodii have been collected in the Wolkberg, however, not having type material to compare it to makes a positive identification difficult. Some taxonomists believe C. junodii is insufficiently distinct from the widespread C. macowanii.
