Justification
A range-restricted species (EOO <120 km²) which only flowers after fire and is therefore seldom seen. It is, however, locally common after fire. The majority of the population occurs with a protected area and hence it is not considered threatened.

Description
Montane fynbos on seasonally moist slopes, sandy soils.
Threats
One subpopulation declined as a result of road construction. This is however not an ongoing threat and other known subpopulations occur in protected areas far from roads and are unlikely to be threatened.
Population

Cyrtanthus debilis is seldom seen, as plants remain dormant and only flower in response to fire. After fires, however, this species can be locally abundant.
