Justification | Berula repanda is a widespread species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 137 562 km². In spite of extensive habitat loss and degradation across its range it is still common, and therefore not yet considered to be in danger of extinction. |

Range | It is widespread across eastern South Africa, from Steelpoort in Mpumalanga to Barkly East in the Eastern Cape. It also occurs in tropical Africa, from Cameroon and Tanzania to Angola. |

Threats |
There is ongoing degradation of grasslands due to overgrazing and alien invasive plants spreading along drainage lines in parts of this species' range. It is however not suspected to have a significant impact on the population. |
