A rare, localized, range-restricted endemic to the Piketberg (EOO 110 km²) that occurs in a rocky habitat where it is not threatened.

Description
Shallow soils among rocks in shady places on ledges and cliffs in Piketberg Sandstone Fynbos.
Threats
This species occurs in shallow rocky soils where it is unlikely to be affected by expanding crop cultivation, the main cause of habitat loss on Piketberg. No other threats are known.
Population

Four known subpopulations. Field observations indicate that this species is rare and localized within a specialized habitat.
