Justification
Hermas intermedia is a widespread, but very rare and localized habitat specialist, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6409 km². It occurs in montane areas where it is not threatened, and is therefore listed as Least Concern.

This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found from Cederberg to Piketberg and southwards to the Hottentots Holland Mountains.

Description
It occurs in rock crevices on shaded or semi-shaded ledges above 800 m.
Threats
There are no threats to Hermas intermedia.
Population

It is a rare and localized habitat specialist, occurring in small, isolated subpopulations in suitable habitat. The largest subpopulation recorded numbers no more than 200 mature individuals.
