Aloe knersvlakensis is a range-restricted species (extent of occurrence 5-10 km²), but not threatened.

This species is endemic to the north-eastern Knersvlakte, north of Vanrhynsdorp in the Western Cape, South Africa.

Description
It occurs on north-facing quartzitic ridges in vygieveld.
Threats
Aloe knersvlakensis has no known threats.
Population

Subpopulations are small and localized (Marais 2010). The species is currently known from two adjacent farms, but is possibly more widespread in similar habitat elsewhere on the Knersvlakte. Field surveys are needed to gain a better understanding of the range size and abundance of this recently described species.
