Description | This species occurs in grasslands, growing in black clay soils on stream banks and low-lying, seasonally moist areas. |
Threats |
About 25% of this species' habitat has been historically lost to crop cultivation, and further agricultural expansion remains a potential threat. Areas of remaining grasslands are heavily overgrazed and degraded across this species' known range, and alien invasive plants are spreading uncontrolled along drainage lines. |
