Justification
A rare, range-restricted (EOO <300 km²) endemic to the Richtersveld, known from two locations, but likely to be under-sampled. It is potentially threatened by collection of wild individuals for the specialist horticultural trade.

Description
Cracks and shelves on vertical, east-facing quartzitic cliffs.
Threats
Unusual Bulbine species such as this one are often popular with plant collectors, and there is evidence of illegal collecting at at least one of this species' known locations, but it is uncertain whether it is specifically targeted. Habitat degradation due to overgrazing is the other main threat to plant species in the Richtersveld, but this species' habitat is inaccessible to livestock, and therefore safe from the effects of overgrazing and trampling.
Population

This species is known from only two locations 64 km apart, but is possibly overlooked, as its habitat is mostly in areas difficult to access.
