Threats
This reseeder is vulnerable to too frequent fire, and subpopulations in the Steenbras and Houwhoek areas appear to be declining as a result of both areas having burnt three times within 10 years. On the Agulhas Plain, some subpopulations have been lost to expanding crop cultivation, and all remaining subpopulations are threatened by competition from dense invasions of alien plants.
