Justification
EOO<2000 km², known from three widely separated locations. None of which are conserved. Declining due to encroachment from invasive alien pines, as well as livestock grazing and other impacts associated with occurring on small fragments within highly transformed agricultural landscapes.

Description
Interface between renosterveld and fynbos, on sandstone gravel over shale in loamy soils.

Population

The Wolseley subpopulation is extensive, with hundreds of plants, but restricted to an area of probably 1.5 x 1 km, mostly in the cleared area below power-pylons.
