Justification
EOO < 2500 km², this coastal foreland species has lost at least nine historical locations to urban development and is now known from five to 10 locations. Threatened at all except the Cape Point subpopulation by alien plant invasion and ongoing urban development.

Description
Acid coastal sands in well-drained and damp sites, 50-200 m.
Threats
Threats include: Urban expansion in greater Cape Town in the past, and current and severe expansion at Pearly beach. Invasive Acacia cyclops and Acacia saligna are still severe threats at Pearly Beach, Ratelrivier & Rietfontein. Agriculture is a threat to this species.
