Justification
EOO 2100 km² and three known locations. Around 25% of the population was destroyed in 2006 as part of the Coega harbour development and there is continuing decline in habitat quality due to overgrazing by livestock.

Description
Open, dry, rocky, grassy karoo, in shallow sandy soils on flats.
Threats
One of four known subpopulations was destroyed when Coega Kop was quarried for the construction of the Coega Industrial Development Zone, including the Coega Harbour. Remaining subpopulations continue to be threatened by ongoing development and expansion of informal settlements as well as overgrazing.
