Justification
Known from an inexact type locality at Inanda near Durban, where it was collected in 1884. Searches have been unsuccessful, indicating that this species is possibly extinct. However, experts believe that it may still be relocated as intact habitat remains in the area.

Description
Unknown, probably in the ecotonal area at the edges of bush clumps in grasslands.
Threats
If the habitat is edges of bush clumps, this species may be threatened (and perhaps already extinct) due to overburning of grasslands in the Inanda Valley, which impacts heavily on the edges of bush clumps where fire sensitive species have been known to disappear from (D. Styles pers. comm.).
