Justification | Pectinaria articulata subsp. namaquensis is a widespread taxon, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 4790 km². It is known from at least 10 locations, but likely to be more common as its habitat remains botanically poorly explored. It is not suspected to be in danger of extinction, and is therefore listed as Least Concern. |

Population |
It is not uncommon on the granitic mountains around Springbok (Bruyns 1981). Elsewhere it is known from a few, scattered records, but its habitat is botanically relatively poorly explored, and it may be more common than records suggest. The population is not suspected to be declining.
