Notes
Described by Masson (1796) and illustrated from plants grown at Kew, that were collected in 'a dry place in the Karoo of South Africa'. Brown (1909), remarked that S. concinna 'has long ago disappeared from cultivation and no other collector has refound it'. No specimens could be matched at the time to Masson's plants. Bruyns (2005) includes S. concinna under 'insufficiently known names'.
