Justification
Known from nine collections all from the turn of the previous century. Its range is heavily populated and the vegetation is under significant pressure from livestock grazing. This may have caused declines in the population and resulted in no collections for the past 100 years. However, the Transkei has also not been well explored for the past 80 years, and more field surveys are required before a threat status is assigned.
