Justification
This species is very rare in South Africa, but also possibly overlooked. It is not threatened. It is more widespread in Namibia, but also known only from a few, scattered subpopulations.

Description
Sheltered among stones or bushes on steep dolomitic or gneissic slopes.
Population

This species is known from a few scattered subpopulations in southern Namibia. In South Africa it is known from a single record from the Richtersveld. This species is however inconspicuous and easily overlooked, and may be more common than records indicate (Bruyns 2005). It is not threatened in Namibia (Loots 2005).
