Justification
Known from two collections made in 1865, this presumably very rare species may still be relocated in the area where it is thought to have been collected as intact habitat still remains. Search efforts are ongoing, but have not been successful to date. It is therefore listed as Critically Endangered Possibly Extinct.

Notes
This species is vegetatively very similar to the common and widespread A. digitata, and may have been overlooked or misidentified as A. digitata when not in flower (D. Styles pers. comm.) It is very hard to determine what the flowering time of this species could be as Gerrard did not date his specimens. The type specimen was probably collected around July 1865.
