Description | Well drained, sandy or rocky flats, 0-300 m. Occasionally on south-facing slopes. |
Threats |
Coastal development, which is spreading rapidly along the Cape south coast, is probably threatening this species, as with many other coastal lowland species. However, only one known location around Hermanus have likely been lost to development.
Agricultural activities have led to the fragmentation of populations into small remnant patches of natural vegetation around Bredasdorp. |

25 plants at Cape Point, 1 at Groot Hagelkraal, herbarium specimen notes generally indicate 'rare'.
