Range
This taxon occurs from Ermelo and Wakkerstroom in southern Mpumalanga to the Kwazulu-Natal Drakensberg, extending to the Eastern Cape Drakensberg around Elliot. It also occurs in adjacent areas in Lesotho.

Description
It occurs in crevices and on ledges on sandstone at high altitude, 1200-2100 m.
Population

It is a high altitude habitat specialist, known from occasional, scattered subpopulations.
