No threats have been recorded, there is still substantial intact habitat in the protected wilderness area where this species occurs. |
Population |
This species is considered rare as it is only known from three collections from two localities in the Baviaanskloof range, it is a large flowered conspicuous species and if it were more common it should have been collected more often. T. Edwards was not able to find more subpopulations of this species.
