Justification | This Renosterveld species has lost over 80% of its habitat in the past and is still declining across its range due to habitat loss to crop cultivation. Loss of pollinators and natural fire cycles as a result of habitat fragmentation also threaten this species. Subpopulations are generally small (largest known subpopulation ± 50 mature individuals), and total population estimated to be between 300 and 1000 mature individuals. |
