A range-restricted (EOO and AOO<2 km²), slow growing reseeder that is potentially threatened by too frequent fire. Subpopulations are small and the total population is probably less than 1000 mature individuals.

Description
Fynbos on shale scree along streams in kloofs.
Threats
This species could be threatened by incorrect fire management and groundwater extraction in the future. It is currently not threatened, except potentially by fire as it is a reseeder and is not conserved.
