Justification | EOO 70 km², three small, severely fragmented subpopulations remain. Declining at one location due to alien hakea invasion and another is threatened by expanding forestry plantations. The third, the smallest subpopulation of about 10 plants, is protected in a nature reserve. |

Threats |
One population (Klein-Moerasrivier, consisting of about 100 plants) is threatened by Hakea and another (Ruitersbos, approximately 30 plants) is threatened by pine plantations. The Attakwaskloof Nature Reserve subpopulation consists of about 10 plants, but this is the only safe one of the three subpopulations. There is a continuing decline in quality of habitat and AOO. |
