Description
Plants grow in sheltered places along the base of sandstone rocks on rocky mountain slopes.
Threats
This species' habitat is well-protected in a wilderness area and it is not threatened.
Population

This species is known from only a few records, and was last recorded in 1956. It is known from two subpopulations about 10 km apart, but is likely to occur in similar habitat in between. Field surveys are needed to relocate it in the wild, and to gain a better understanding of the size and extent of the population. The population is not suspected to be declining.
