Threats |
| Lachnaea burchellii has lost some habitat in the past to timber plantations, and an estimated 10% of its habitat is irreversibly modified. Recent field observations noted that some subpopulations are threatened by competition from alien invasive plants, particularly escaped pine seedlings, that are spreading from plantations into native fynbos vegetation. |
