Threats |
Although a large proportion of this species' habitat is protected in the Cape Point section of the Table Mountain National Park, it occurs on lower slopes where it is declining due to urban expansion, alien invasion and too frequent fire elsewhere on the Cape Peninsula. Localities on the Cape Flats such as Kenilworth and southeast of the Bottelary Hills are locally extinct due to urban development and agriculture. The habitat of this species is ± 26% transformed. |
