Population |
This species was discovered during a 2014 botanical survey of Mount Anderson Ranch near Lydenburg. It is currently known from one localized subpopulation, but potential suitable habitat has not yet been thoroughly surveyed. It is highly unlikely to be widespread and common, as it is a very striking species unlikely to be overlooked. Mount Anderson is rich in local endemics, and it is quite likely that this species is another such endemic.
