Justification
A widespread (EOO 19 089 km²), but rarely recorded species that is likely to be overlooked due to its small stature. It is not suspected to be rare or in danger of extinction.

Description
Open places on sandy plateaus and slopes, rocky ridges, along watercourses and disturbed pathways.
Threats
Some collections are from lowland areas where this species is possibly threatened by habitat loss to urban expansion and crop cultivation, however, a number are also from remote and montane areas where it is not threatened.
Population

A widespread, but very rarely collected species. It is a tiny annual, and easily overlooked, and therefore suspected to be more common than records indicate.
