Justification
A rare, range-restricted species known from only a few, scattered collections. Its habitat is protected, and only one subpopulation is potentially threatened by competition from alien invasive plants. Therefore it is not suspected to be in danger of extinction at present, but the species requires monitoring. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare.

This species occurs from Bain's Kloof to Brandwacht in the Hex River Mountains, and the western end of the Riviersonderend Mountains near Villiersdorp.

Description
Plants grow in rocky slopes in mountain fynbos.
Threats
