Euryops subcarnosus subsp. minor is a rare, localized and poorly known taxon, last recorded in 1954. Based on currently available data, its risk of extinction cannot be assessed.

Description
Its habitat is unknown, but is likely to be granite hills. Field surveys are needed to confirm this.
Threats
As there are no recent field observations of this species, and historical records have imprecise locality descriptions, the threats to this taxon are unknown. It is possibly threatened by overgrazing, which is causing degradation in parts of the Kamiesberg.
Population

This is a rare and very poorly known taxon, last collected in 1954. It is possibly overlooked, and field surveys are needed to relocate it in the wild. The current population trend is not known.
