Description
This densely branched shrublet grows up 30 cm. It is found in Succulent Karoo vegetation growing on large calcrete outcrops where there is very little topsoil.
Threats
Previously, the plants were very heavily browsed by domestic stock, but have recovered well since the property was included in the Anysberg Nature Reserve in 2000 (Vlok, 2020).
Population

This species occurs occasionally in a very restricted range. There are no severe threats to the population, but the area is used for game grazing. The population is assumed to be stable, but likely to decline should grazing pressure increase. Monitoring is required.
