Threats |
This highly palatable but slow-growing species is threatened by severe overgrazing. Few remaining plants are being repeatedly grazed down to short stumps, preventing flowering and seed set. |
Population |
A very slow growing species that is vulnerable to heavy grazing - in heavily grazed areas only very few plants could be found (J.H. Vlok pers. obs.)
