Description
It occurs on rocky slopes, sandy plains and ridges in fynbos, as well as grassy fynbos of the Eastern Cape. In KwaZulu-Natal, it is associated with relict fynbos communities. It is a weedy pioneer, well adapted to disturbance.
Threats
Threats to Disparago tortilis include habitat degradation, habitat loss, harvesting and invasive alien species.
