Justification
A habitat specialist, known from less than 10 sites. It has lost habitat to forestry plantations and dam construction in the past, however these threats have ceased and there are no significant current or future threats expected.

This species occurs in the mountains between Viljoen's Pass and Houw Hoek, and south-eastwards to the Palmiet River Mountains inland of Kleinmond.
