Justification
This Eastern Cape endemic is known from a very restricted area with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 832 km² and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 32 km². It is known from seven subpopulations. The habitat where it occurs is used for livestock grazing and game farming, but there are no obvious threats from the current land-use. It appears to be resilient to fires and somewhat prefers disturbed environments. The population is not declining and is therefore listed as Least Concern.
