Justification
Known from three collections made before 1930. It was rediscovered in 2008 at one of the historical locations where it is potentially threatened by invasive alien plants and expanding forestry plantations. It therefore qualifies as Vulnerable under criterion D.

Description
Plants grow in steep slopes in grasslands.
Threats
The type locality is probably threatened by urban expansion. Urgent surveys are needed to find other localities between Barberton and Kaapmuiden in order to establish the threat status of this species.
