Justification
Known only from the type, collected in 1865, but without precise locality details. Repeated searches in the area have failed to relocate this species, and very little of its presumed habitat remains. It is possibly extinct.

Dry mountain slopes.
Threats
This species is possibly extinct due to habitat loss to crop cultivation. The area where it was recorded is extensively cultivated, and very little potential habitat remains. Most remaining fragments have been surveyed unsuccessfully (N.A. Helme pers. comm. 2012).
