Justification
A range-restricted species (EOO 1 338 km²) occurring in deep sands, severely threatened by potato and rooibos tea cultivation. Sixty percent of its habitat has been lost over the past 40 years (generation length estimated 15-20 years). Between six and eight subpopulations remain, and this species continues to decline.

Description
Dry, sandy flats.
Threats
Extensive, recent habitat loss to potato and rooibos tea cultivation has affected most known locations of this species. A number of known subpopulations are now restricted to road reserves. Habitat loss is ongoing.
