Justification | A poorly known species, EOO 1 496 km², and historically recorded from four locations, two of which have gone extinct due to the development of the city of Port Elizabeth. Recently recorded from three new locations in the vicinity of Cape St. Francis, it is estimated that between five and 10 locations exist for this species. Decline due to housing development and invasive alien plants is ongoing. |

Description | Tertiary sands in coastal habitats and in transition soils between tertiary sands and shale. |
Threats |
This species has lost habitat and subpopulations in the past to urban development and crop cultivation. Loss of habitat as a result of coastal development is ongoing. Invasive alien plant species threaten subpopulations that occur on tertiary sands. |
